As Black History month 2026 comes to a close, I urge us to continue recognizing the contributions of black people to this nation and world. It's no time to erase black history, nor to deport them. It's time to cherish. I cherish the long history Burton and I have had with the Ridgeway family in Detroit: 60 years. We celebrate Linda's 90th birthday this coming week. She sang at my ordination in New Haven, Ct. Picture from when she visited us here in Mason City.
